Description:

Proximity is looking for a Senior UI/UX Designer capable of leading and executing product design projects, as well as guiding the design team at a high level. You will work closely with both client and in-house product, design, and development teams on mid-to-long-term projects. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with all aspects of UI & UX design, have excellent product thinking and problem-solving abilities, good written and verbal communication skills, and a keen aesthetic sense.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Developing and conceptualizing a comprehensive UI/UX design strategy for your assigned projects.
• Producing high-quality design solutions through wireframes, visual and graphic designs, flow diagrams, storyboards, site maps, and prototypes.
• Creating distinctive UI language based on the visual identity guidelines of the brands you’re working with.
• Building design systems for mobile and web products, including visual systems using illustrations and photography-based graphics.
• Testing and evaluating designs and flows using various testing tools.
• Analyzing user data to identify issues and opportunities for improvement.
• Leading design projects end-to-end, from discovery to delivery, running collaborative sessions, defining goals, solving challenges, and managing timelines, priorities, and handoffs to ensure smooth execution and consistency.
• Mentoring and guiding the design team, offering feedback, fostering skill development, and driving a culture of continuous improvement.
• Collaborating with the development team to ensure proper implementation of your designs.

Requirements:

• A portfolio showcasing professional UI and UX design work for both web and mobile platforms.
• Experience in leading and managing design teams with a track record of delivering high-quality products.
• Thorough understanding of all stages of UI and UX design with the ability to execute projects from start to finish.
• Basic understanding of data and analytics tools like Google Analytics, MixPanel, Maze, etc.
• Mastery over design tools like Figma, Sketch, Photoshop, and Illustrator, plus familiarity with basic motion graphics in After Effects.
• Understanding of web and mobile technologies (HTML, CSS, JS, iOS, Android) — coding not required, but conceptual knowledge expected.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong time-management and multi-tasking skills, with the ability to prioritize strategically.
• Quick learner, adaptable to new software, plugins, and technologies.
• Keen eye for maintaining design standards and quality.
• High work ethic, self-motivated, and proactive communication style, essential for remote work environments.
• Comfortable working and collaborating remotely.
